iFish Classic SLIDING Floats Kit
The Package Includes:
- 2 SLIDING floats ( Select Capacity below)
- 1 pack of BG-1 jigs, Black, with clips ($4.90) (Select weight/hook below)
The Package DOES NOT INCLUDE the 'stopper knot'. You have to tie your own stopper knot using ANY braid or mono fishing line with approx diameter 0.30-0.40mm. I use a cheap ebay braid and I do a UNI knot with 8-9 wraps. Float Stoppers ARE AVAILABLE (floats folder) but they should be used ONLY UNDER the float! Above the float you should tie a knot with some kind of braid, so it can slide easily through the guides!
CONVERSION TO FIXED 150 - you can ALWAYS put a silicone tubing under the lower eye and convert the Sliding float to Fixed! Watch the video! There is honestly NO NEED to buy F150 if you have this!
Please pay attention to the naming convention! S125 means that this is a SLIDING (S) float with 1.25 (125) gram capacity. S150 means that this is a sliding float with 1.5 gram capacity. The CAPACITY designates the OPTIMAL LOAD for the float. Please disregard the weight of the lure as all lures have very close to neutral buoyancy, even the floating ones! Only calculate the total weight of the lead ( jig head + olives). Also overloading or underloading the floats is not absolutely critical. Fishing with 0.25 gram LESS than capacity will reduce your casting distance and the wind will blow your float more easily but u can fish just fine. Fishing with 0.1 gram OVER capacity (but not more than 0.1 gram) will slow down the RECOVERY of the float ( when a fish pulls the float down, it will take longer to get back up). Try to stay close to optimal capacity but dont stress out about what lure to use and that sort of stuff.
To achieve OPTIMAL load with unmatching jigs, please use the Float Sinker Kit (olives) sold separately. For example: You can fish the S125 floats with a 1 gram jig + 0.25 gram olive. Or the S125 floats with the ECOLITE 0.75 gram jigs + 0.5 gram olive. Or the S150 floats with 1 gram jig and 0.5 gram olive..
Float Properties:
Capacity: 1.50 gram for S150 and 1.25 gram for S125
Attach method: Sliding (also known as Slip float).
Antenna: 3mm for S150 and 2mm for S125
Body material: Balsa
Fishing depth range: 5-20 feet (you should use fixed floats under 5 feet)
Recommended line: 0.14 to 0.20 mm monofilament
Recommended use: When you need to cast far, or fish very deep. Always try to fish with the smaller float, to make less noise when the rig hits the water and also so the fish feels less RESISTANCE when it bites the lure. Big resistance when the fish 'NIP' at the lure alerts them that the lure is attached to something and the fish are unlikely to bite again.
