iFish Classic FIXED Floats Kit
The Package Includes:
- 2 iFish Classic FIXED floats (select below)
- 1 pack of matching BG-1 jigs, Black, WITH CLIPS ($4.90) (first 3 digits of jig model designate the weight in grams, last two digits designate hook size)
Please pay attention to the naming convention! F100 means that this is a FIXED (F) float with 1.00 (100) gram capacity. F125 means that this is a fixed float with 1.25 gram capacity. The CAPACITY designates the OPTIMAL LOAD for the float. Please disregard the weight of the lure as all lures have very close to neutral buoyancy, even the floating ones! Only calculate the total weight of the lead ( jig head + olives). Also overloading or underloading the floats is not absolutely critical. Fishing with 0.25 gram LESS than capacity will reduce your casting distance and the wind will blow your float more easily but u can fish just fine. Fishing with 0.1 gram OVER capacity (but not more than 0.1 gram) will slow down the RECOVERY of the float ( when a fish pulls the float down, it will take longer to get back up). Try to stay close to optimal capacity but dont stress out about what lure to use and that sort of stuff.
To achieve OPTIMAL load with unmatching jigs, please use the Float Sinker Kit (olives) sold separately. For example: You can fish the S125 floats with a 1 gram jig + 0.25 gram olive. Or the S125 floats with the ECOLITE 0.75 gram jigs + 0.5 gram olive. Or the S150 floats with 1 gram jig and 0.5 gram olive..
IFISH CLASSIC Floats Properties
Antenna: 2mm
Body material: Balsa
Fishing depth range: 2-6 feet (maybe 7 foot, if u fish with 8 foot rod)
Recommended line: 0.14 to 0.20 mm monofilament (0.15-0.16 optimal)
Recommended application: The perfect application for the F100 floats is fishing bluegill beds or bluegill and crappie in close range. These floats with a 1 gram jig make a very small noise in the water and do not spook fish that might be only a couple of feet under the float! (important). The perfect application for the F125 is .... when u can't reach the fish with the F100 floats. Also if u fish for crappie 5 or 6 feet deep, the float is less likely to spook them so u can use them just fine. I have even fished bluegill beds with the F125 floats, but when I fish the best bluegill beds I always use the F100 floats, just to make sure I don't disturb the fish.
